Welcome to Pottstown Chat! This site is a free community project by the residents of the Pottstown area in Pennsylvania to serve as a place to talk about what is going on in our town and local areas such as Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, Coventry and others.

Drop off your old appliances at the Arboretum, refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves, washers…..anything that is labeled as an “appliance.” Volunteers will be there to assist you. Call 267-371-2288 with questions. All you have to do is drive in, volunteers will unload and you drive out, one Spring chore off your list! Drop off appliance during event hours only. No electronics or TVs.
The Borough of Pottstown is accepting Applications for Written Examination, the first step in the civil service process. The Written Examination will be held on March 28, 2015 at Pottstown Senior High School. Applications are available at www.pottstown.org or the Human Resources Department at Borough Hall and MUST be submitted no later than 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Join Parks and Recreation for Family Fest 2015!

I ate at Ala’s German Restaurant on North Charlotte Street in Pottstown this evening for the first time. It was so good I wanted to help get the word out about this authentic German restaurant. There is nothing like Ala’s any where in the Tri-County area, that I am aware of. Our waitress was from Germany and I gathered all of most of the staff is from Germany.
The menu is fairly extensive and they do have other items besides German cuisine. There is a kids menu; sandwiches, soups and salads for lighter fare and even German Pizza
I ordered bratwurst which comes with sauerkraut and buttered potatoes. Our server asked if I wanted the potatoes or another side so I substituted spaetzle. I received two perfectly grilled brats along...
